What are the purpose of processing your personal data?

The main purpose is the performace of an integral management of the services offered to current and potential users and those projects submitted and or developed with equipment belonging to the CLPU and or scientific and or technical assistance of its personnel, visitor management, management of events organized by the Center and congratulations and greetings communications. Additionally, the data of scientific or technical interest will be kept and archived for public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes.

As a secondary aim, the CLPU will use part of the collected information to send you information related to scientific, technological, promotional and institutional activities, if you have granted us your express consent for this purpose.

How long will we keep your data?

The data will be kept for as long as necessary to verify the proper provision of the services, respond to queries or complaints that may be made about them and fulfill legal and regulatory obligations that we are subject to. Since our services generate information of scientific interest and therefore need to be available for a long time, we hereby inform you that we will keep the data for a minimun of 25 years.

If you have given express consent to the secondary aim, we will keep your data until you request the termination of the processing of your data.

What is the legitimacy for the processing of your data?

The processing of your data to manage the services and events is legitimate in the basis of the fulfilment of the mandate given to the CLPU Consortium to exploit this scientific and technological facility, opening it for its use to the national and international scientific and technical community for experimentation and research in all aspects related to ultra-intense ultra-short pulsed lasers with its staff of scientists and technologists (article 6.1.e) of the General Data Protection Regulations – GDPR–). For obvious reasons, if you do not provide us with your data you will not be able to receive the services or actions in which you are interested.

The processing of your data for later sending of information related to activities associated to our Center will only be legitimate if you have given us your express consent (article 6.1.a) of the General Data Protection Regulations –GDPR–).

Who will your data be disclosed to?

In case you have provided us with your data to participate in projects, experiments or events organized by the CLPU, only the minimun necessary data will be disclosed to public administrations and Spanish and European entities related to scientific research, travel agencies, companies dedicated to accommodation and catering, etc., for the management of such projects, experiments or events (financial reports, accreditations, audits, accommodation management, travel expenses, etc.). The data may be transferred to other entities authorized by law or other cases in which there is a legal obligation.

Initially, international data transfers are not foreseen. If needed, transfers will only be made to States with an adequate level of protection in accordance with the provisions of Chapter V of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

For other treatments, your data will only be disclosed or international transfers will take place if we have your explicit consent.

What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Without prejudice to the rights provided by the General Regulation of Data Protection and development regulations, you have the right to obtain confirmation about whether the CLPU is processing personal data that concerns you or not. You also have the right to access your personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate date. You may object the processing of your data of a specific purpose, if said processing is not necessary for the fulfilment, development and control of the main prupose of this file. You may request the erasure of your data when the relationship binding you to the Center ends and when we no longer have legal reasons to use it. In some circumstances, you may request the restriction of the processing of your data, in which case we will only keep it for the legally regulated purposes.
