The Consortium for the design, construction, equipping and operation of the Ultra-short Ultra-intense Pulsed Lasers Center (hereinafter referred to as “CLPU”), is a nonprofit entity included among the state public institutional sector under Article 84 of Law 40/2015, of 1st October, created by its three funding partners: the Central State Administration (AGE), the Regional Government of Castilla y León (CCYL) and the University of Salamanca (USAL). The CLPU is attached to the Central State Administration (AGE) through the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The Consortium of CLPU is a public entity with own personality and full capacity for the pursuance of its specific aims. CLPU is an executive agent of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation, pursuant to the provisions of Article 3.4 of Law 14/2011, of 1st June: to give service to the national and international scientific community and to develop its own scientific and technological experimentation and research in all aspects related to ultra-intense ultra-short lasers.
