What are the purposes of processing your personal data?

The main purpose of the treatment is to control the access of personnel, interns, collaborators, users, visitors and third parties to the CLPU facilities in order to guarantee the safety of people, goods and premises, especially taking into account that part of the infrastructure of the Center is considered to be a radioactive installation by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN).

How long will we keep your data?

The data obtained will be kept for five years from your last access to the facilities or during the time necessary to comply with legal obligations.

What is the legitimacy for the processing of your data?

The processing of your data is legitimate in the basis of the fulfilment of the mandate given to the CLPU Consortium to exploit this scientific and technological facility, opening it for its use to the national and international scientific and technical community for experimentation and research in all aspects related to ultra-intense ultra-short pulsed lasers with its staff of scientists and technologists  (article 6.1.e) of the General Data Protection Regulations –GDPR–) and the legal obligation of custody and conservation of the assets of the Center (article 6.1.c) of the General Data Protection Regulations –GDPR–). If you do not provide us with your data, you not be able to access the Center’s facilities.

Where do the data come from?

The data come either directly from the interested parties or from the personnel and interns data included in the “Human Resources” file or from the data of users and collaborators of the “Users and Collaborators” file.

What data are we dealing with?

Identifying data (Name, surname and ID / passport, telephone, and in the case of CLPU staff, image), details of employment (company or center of origin, position) and other information: reason and access permits, contact person visited and access card number.

Who will your data be disclosed to?

The data will be disclosed to Security forces and bodies, judicial bodies or other entities authorized by law or other cases in which there is a legal obligation. The international transfer of your data is not expected either.

What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Without prejudice to the rights provided by the General Regulation for Data Protection and development regulations, you have the right to obtain confirmation about whether the CLPU is processing personal data that concerns you or not.  You also have the right to access your personal data, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate data. You may object the processing of your data for a specific purpose, if said processing is not necessary for the fulfilment, development and control of the main purpose of this file. You may request the erasure of your data when the relationship binding you to the Center ends and when we no longer have legal reasons to use it. In some circumstances, you may request the restriction of the processing of your data, in which case we will only keep it for the legally regulated purposes.

How can you exercise your rights?

In writing, including a photocopy of your ID card or equivalent document, addressed to the Data Protection Officer of the CLPU (protecciondatos@clpu.es).

What are the available complaint procedures?

If you consider that your rights have not been adequately met, you have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency: https://sedeagpd.gob.es/sede-electronica-web/.
