Life in the fast spray zone: Four new endemic tooth-frog species in West African forests

27 July 2015

Up until recently there was a single known species in the only vertebrate family endemic to West Africa, the torrent tooth-frog. Based on morphological and molecular results, however, four new species are now described. Unfortunately, they might all be at a risk of extinction. Their habitat needs and small distribution range call for immediate conservation measures.img src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/sciencedaily/~4/35HSC3mZfPA” height=”1″ width=”1″ alt=””/
