Description:
Our ultimate goal is a strategic one for CLPU, which is the growth of the ultraintense laser community in Spain, from research groups to private entities, which can supply high quality products and added value to support advances in this field. This strategic goal will pave the way for the development of new laser technology useful for the expected specs of near future CLPU laser. The strategy of CLPU is not to fight in the PW race, maybe too common today in the international arena. Our strategy is to develop a reliable laser for the particle acceleration objectives of CLPU. This laser has to be ultrashort with a convenient bandwidth but not going below 30 or 40 fs, in order to have a reliable technology and a system adjusted for every day operation in a user facility, as the CLPU.
