Mechanical Engineer (BSc 2014–2019). He joined the CLPU’s scientific department in 2023, where he has been carrying out various activities related to the design and assembly of experimental setups for laser experimentation and system characterization. He has experience in the development, design and simulation of mechanical systems related to laser research and experimental applications. He is currently working at CLPU as as Mechanical Design Engineer on the design of a high-power laser system as part of an industrial project. He is currently completing his postgraduate studies at the University of Salamanca on the Master’s in Laser Physics and Technology.
Areas of interest:
– Design and development of high-power lasers (active media, mounts, characterisation, optomechanics and related technologies).
– Thermal managment of laser gain media for high-energy pumping conditions.
– Design, integration, and assembly of optical systems.
– Laser-driven particle acceleration (LWFA, NTSA).
– Inertial Confinement Fusion.
– Thermal and mechanical simulation of components and assemblies using CAD & CAE tools (SolidWorks, Ansys).
– Design and assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as lifting and material-handling systems .
