Description: In December 2013, the CONSOLIDER SAUUL (Science and Applications of Ultrafast Ultraintense Lasers) project came to an end. This project brought together more than 100 researchers, sharing know-how on femtosecond laser science and technology with gigawatt, terawatt, and higher intensities. The project has been a success, as evidenced by the substantial achievement of the indicators agreed upon at the beginning. The central objective of the current project is to create an appropriate tool to keep this group cohesive. The ultimate goal is to establish a Specialized Group in Ultrafast Lasers (GELUR) that will permanently unite this human team. This group will engage in Scientific Societies and will collaborate with technological clusters such as SECPhO and others.
