Fusion needs to convince the general public, the institutions that represent it, the potential investors and even the most reluctant stakeholders. To this end, fusion milestones will have to prove its effort by virtue of the fact that science-engineering-manufacturing are onto something exceptional. For this, setting roadmaps at national and international levels would be an ideal scenario. A possible approach could be oriented along the development of critical components. Again, I will say that these roadmaps need to be coordinated to make sure that all critical points including technological challenges and human resources are properly covered across a fusion ecosystem
