The OMA Workshops cover the main research areas on optimization of medical accelerators which are explored within the different work packages (WP) of the European Training network OMA. The Workshop will connect the diagnostics efforts in two OMA work packages, WP1 (Beam imaging and diagnostics) and WP2 (Treatment optimization). In particular, it will discuss the role of online monitoring capability for patient treatment and how information from 3D online and patient tracking systems, as developed in WP2, needs to be combined with the general accelerator diagnostics, beam control systems and the specific monitors developed WP1, to achieve maximum treatment efficiency.
The workshop is open to external participants. Contributed talks of 30 minutes are welcome. Abstract submission deadline is 23rd April 2018.
