Dr. Mostafa Behtouei is a Specialized Scientist at the Centro de Láseres Pulsados (CLPU), where he works on analytical and numerical studies of capillary discharge dynamics for Laser Plasma Wakefield Acceleration (LPWA). His research focuses on plasma channel formation, discharge stability, and advanced magnetohydrodynamic simulations for high-gradient particle acceleration.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, specializing in accelerator physics and RF technologies. Before joining CLPU, he worked for several years at the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN-LNF), contributing to major international projects such as FCC-ee, CompactLight, EuPRAXIA, and DAFNE. His research interests include accelerator physics, plasma-based accelerators, beam dynamics, collective effects, RF systems, and computational physics. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in these fields.
