Siting wind farms more quickly, cheaply

17 julio 2015

A new statistical technique that yields better wind-speed predictions than existing techniques do — even when it uses only three months’ worth of data — has been revealed by researchers. That could save power companies time and money, particularly in the evaluation of sites for offshore wind farms, where maintaining measurement stations is particularly costly.img src=»http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/sciencedaily/~4/p5z6eiJMGVY» height=»1″ width=»1″ alt=»»/
