New chemistry makes strong bonds weak

28 julio 2015

Researchers have developed a new chemical reaction that breaks the strongest bond in a molecule instead of the weakest, completely reversing the norm for reactions in which bonds are evenly split to form reactive intermediates. The non-conventional reaction is a proof of concept that will allow chemists to access compounds that are normally off-limits to this pathway.img src=»http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/sciencedaily/~4/vmE_MDECmak» height=»1″ width=»1″ alt=»»/
