Introduction to particle spectrometry and detection

During this lecture, I will make a general introduction of the main groups of techniques for particle detection and spectrometry in High-Intensity Laser/Plasma Field. I will explain the principles of energy-sensible techniques, the type of detectors that can be used at each of them, and the optimum experimental conditions to apply them. I will focus mainly in magnetic spectrometric techniques applied to high-energy charged particles (Thomson Parabola). The main parameters to take into account will be explained to offer an overview of the specifications in terms of energy resolution and particle sensitivity.
