The 13rd Direct Drive and Fast Ignition Workshop continues a series of meetings dedicated to the inertial confinement research in Europe. It provides a unique opportunity for European and overseas scientists working in theory, simulations and experiments related to the inertial confinement fusion for energy production to present and discuss their latest results and future plans in an informal atmosphere. The meeting also addresses prospective methods for producing electron and ion beams and strong shocks with parameters suitable for ignition methods like fast ignition and shock ignition.
