He has more than 35 peer-reviewed publications and R3 recognized scientist.<\/p>\n<p>He obtained a Marie Curie Excellence Grant (ITN-LA3NET) at the Grand Acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur National d&#8217;Ions Lourds (GANIL, France) to perform a doctorate in physics. The goal of the thesis was to study the production of radioactive ions by resonant laser ionization. Then he continued his research with a postdoc at the Centre d\u00b4Etudes Nucl\u00e9aires de Bordeaux-Gradignan (CENBG-LP2IB, France) in the Excitations Nucl\u00e9ares par Laser (ENL) team where he studied the production of ions accelerated by the interaction of a high power laser with a high-density supersonic gas jet. Currently, he is working at the Centro de L\u00e1seres Pulsados (CLPU, Spain) as a specialized scientist for laser-driven ion acceleration research.<\/p>\n<p>His personal project is to design, build and develop fluid targets at a high repetition rate for laser-driven ion acceleration and its associated diagnostics. This includes the construction of a unique high pressure system to reach near critical densities of the target and the study of the laser-plasma acceleration mechanisms. The main objective is to advance the technological requirements for HRR operation concerning both the laser behavior and the target performances. This includes testing new laser-plasma acceleration schemes.<\/p>\n<p>The generation of accelerated proton and ion particles is nowadays a relevant topic due to the wide number of direct applications that can be provided in fundamental and applied physics. The main fields using laser-accelerated protons and ions cover a broad range. From fundamental physics (e.g. proton probing of plasmas) to medical applications and treatments such as radio-theranostics, where tens to hundreds of MeV are needed to generate radioisotopes that can be used in nuclear medicine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=9_sj1BoAAAAJ&amp;hl=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=9_sj1BoAAAAJ&amp;hl=fr<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He is an experimental researcher in Laser-driven Ion Acceleration with a background in Materials Science and Laser-Matter Interaction.
