Atomic Physics of hot plasmas and X-Ray spectroscopy<\/span><\/p>\n

The first part of the lecture will be devoted to present an overview of key ingredients on fundamental atomic physics, populations kinetics, and radiative properties required for modeling the characteristic spectroscopic signature from hot and dense plasmas. The second will focus on the particular application of time-resolved X-ray emission spectroscopy for characterizing the plasma conditions in ICF direct-drive implosion experiments. Processing and analysis of experimental data will be discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n
