{"id":2298,"date":"2020-07-22T11:05:31","date_gmt":"2020-07-22T11:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clpu.es\/laplas_home\/"},"modified":"2020-07-22T11:05:31","modified_gmt":"2020-07-22T11:05:31","slug":"laplas_home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.clpu.es\/en\/laplas_home\/","title":{"rendered":"Laser-Plasma Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The CLPU Laser-Plasma (LaPlas) Chair at the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usal.es\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Enlace a la p\u00e1gina oficial de la Universidad de Salamanca\" rel=\"noopener\"> University of Salamanca <\/a>(USAL) has been promoted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clpu.es\/en\/about-us\/clpu-structure\/cact\" title=\"Link to the CLPU Advisory Committee\">CLPU Advisory Committee <\/a>and created in 2014 by CLPU with the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote and develop LAser-Plasma Physics at the University of Salamanca and in Spain<\/li>\n<li>Support the experimental activities run at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clpu.es\/en\/VEGA_Introduction\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Enlace a la p\u00e1gina oficial de VEGA\" rel=\"noopener\">VEGA<\/a>, the CLPU petawatt laser system, by driving both national and international users community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Director o the Chair is Dr. Luca Volpe<\/p>\n<p>The main research lines of LaPlas are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High Power laser-driven particle acceleration<\/li>\n<li>Laser-Driven plasmas at extreme conditions<\/li>\n<li>Inertial Confinement approach to Fusion<\/li>\n<li>Laser-Plasma and particle beam diagnostic techniques<\/li>\n<li>Numerical simulations for Laser-Plasma processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The LaPlas Chair organizes and supports several national and international activities among which:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master courses on Laser-Plasma Physics and related diagnostics (2ECT)<\/li>\n<li>PhD programs on Laser-PLasma Physics and applications<\/li>\n<li>A Laser-Plasma international Schools (LaPlaSS) annually in September (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clpu.es\/LAPLASS2020\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Enlace a la p\u00e1gina oficial de la tercera edici\u00f3n de LaPlaSS\" rel=\"noopener\">click here to take a look to LaPlaSS 2020<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The LaPlas is also involved in two master courses at the USAL:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>M\u00e1ster Universitario en F\u00edsica y Tecnolog\u00eda de los L\u00e1seres (2ECT)<\/li>\n<li>Retos Sociales de la Ciencia y la Tecnolog\u00eda de &nbsp;Frontera (1 ECT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>LaPlas is involved in several European projects H2020 and ERASMUS+ and several experiments at the CLPU and at the laser laboratories and aborad that are periodically organized under the umbrella of the Chair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
