VI CLPU USERS MEETING
Towards a Laser-Plasma Spanish Community
(01-02 October 2020)
Introduction
Laser-driven plasma is the primary subject of investigation in the modern high-power laser-facilities. The Centro de Láseres Pulsados –CLPU– is one of the most representative facilities in this area operating a PW level system working at 1-10 Hz. The VEGA system is already in operation and several experimental campaigns have been already run from different internationally recognized research groups. The combination of laser intensity, short duration, and repetition rate offered by VEGA pave the way for new exciting possibilities for the next experimental campaign but also represent a scientific and technological challenge for what concerns Targetry and Diagnostic techniques.
The VI CLPU User Meeting is organized on the 1st and 2nd of October 2020 to promote user access to the VEGA system. The meeting will be ON-LINE through the Zoom platform.
This edition is focused on building and sustaining a strong Spanish user community around the Experimental activity on VEGA with emphasis on the new possible secondary sources stations for civil applications.
Since the main objective is to put in contact with new potential Spanish users with international groups working around VEGA, the meeting will host:
- Introductory presentation from CLPU team to introduce the system, the third call for users, and the potentiality of VEGA
- Dedicated presentations from users that already access to the VEGA system
- Dedicated presentations from Spanish groups and round table discussions
