Transnational Access to irradiation facilities is the cornerstone of the RADNEXT project, in which the Spanish Center for Pulsed Lasers participates. More than 6000 beam-time hours are awarded during the four years of the project, in more than 20 different facilities in Europe and beyond. The CLPU with VEGA, its Petawatt-class laser system at a high repetition rate. offers three irradiation sources:

  • Proton (TNSA – Target Normal Sheath Acceleration)
  • Electron (LWFA - Laser WakeField Acceleration)
  • X-rays (Betatron Radiation)

If you need information, previous your application, about our infrastructure and these sources, do not hesitate to contact us (lvolpe@clpu.es)

Quarterly Calls for Proposals are opened until the 5th of October, 2021. These proposals will be review by an independent User Selection Panel, that includes high-profile, international experts in the field of industrial and academic research on electronics' radiation effects.
